We offer Team Doula and Solo Doula options!

Although we offer Solo Doula Packages and Team Doula Packages, we highly encourage clients to consider the wealth and benefits of our Team Doula concept. Our birth doulas work on a team and share call time. We offer in-person Meet the Doula Sessions where you can meet our hand-selected doulas and interact with them as much as you want throughout your pregnancy.

OUR MEET THE DOULA SESSIONS SERVE THREE PURPOSES:

1. Afford you the opportunity to get to know our doulas
2. Allows our doulas to meet you and grow to know you and your partner
3. Get to know other expecting parents while being present for one of our topics of discussion relevant to your pregnancy.

Instead of one doula being on call for up to 6 weeks at a time, you have the ability of our team of doulas to be on-call for you at the time of hire (for those rare chances of baby coming early), and offering you the comfort and added knowledge  of combined years of experience to draw from with ease.

At the time of labor, one of our birth doulas will join you in labor. This could be at home or at the place you are birthing. We can support you whether you birth at home with a midwife, at a hospital, or a birth center.  You will get the benefit of continuity of care as your doula stays with you through your entire birth and shortly afterward. Your doulas will follow up with you after the birth and remain available for questions and resources.

We are thorough as a practice. When you join our practice as a client, we follow the following process:

  • Receive a FREE CONSULTATION with our Birth Concierge to discuss your needs and desires for your birth experience.
  • Attend one of our Meet the Doula sessions where we offer roundtable discussion in order to learn more about our doulas. Ask questions and speak directly with members of our team.  You’ll be able to spend more time and check in with our birth doulas when  you attend our Meet the Doula Discussion Groups on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
  • Schedule and attend your prenatal visit either in your home or in our office. You will meet with one of our experienced, well versed Birth Doulas who are also Childbirth Education Instructors. They will assess how we can offer you the best care and support while learning the preferences of you and your support person/people. Our detailed Intake Assessment is maintained in your electronic chart and is used to create your complimentary Birth Plan.
  • Contact our 24/7 On Call Line (571.406.7705) for your questions and concerns as much as you need.
  • If you have chosen one of our Team Doulas, the one on call for your birth will be there for you in early labor to assist you in your home or wherever you choose. If you have chosen a Solo Birth Doula, she has been your only contact.
  • We will use your intake assessment notes and your thoughts, ideas, and hopes we have discussed over time with you for your {BIG Special Day!} Your baby's birth day is the moment we have all been waiting for. We will be there to support you all the way through. We do not have a 12 hour clause of ANY sort. We are there to be in-person for YOU.
  • Once you are settled in at home, the birth doula present for you will check in either at your house or any place of your choosing to catch up and offer any advice or hands on breastfeeding support.

We are proud to that our doulas have life balance with time off by working on an On Call Birth Doula Team. This allows them to be present and well-rested, in addition to having less stress because there is always at least 3 doulas on call each day! Rest at ease knowing you have already met your back-up birth doula!
