Antepartum Doulas
Offering Experienced Care, Qualified Support
All pregnancies are not created equal. Although we want to anticipate only the most blissful pregnancy, sometimes complications do arise requiring support. Oftentimes, birthing people must face bed rest due to any one of the following reasons:
Having to endure a pregnancy-related complication can incur a number of stressors for both the birthing person and their partner. The daily limitations can be more than a couple can handle at times.
Our Antepartum Doulas offer professional, compassionate doula support to families that are experiencing a difficult pregnancy, an otherwise healthy pregnancy with overwhelming variables, or one that comes with medically-directed limitations. Antepartum specifically means "before birth."
We provide this thorough, compassionate, physical, emotional and educational support. Doula support, at your request, can include assistance with daily household tasks, help caring for your other children, meal planning & meal preparation, and assistance organizing and planning the nursery. Our primary concern is your ability to receive the support you require with the ability to get fulfilling rest in the process.
Our doulas are known to provide tender nurturing with the ability to hold space when needed.
Our priorities include:
- To listen to your concerns
- To alleviate your fears as best we can
- To affirm your feelings
- To provide resources in your time of need
- To help with coping
- To assist with relaxation techniques
- To help you prepare for birth with confidence
